Can't pretend to know

Owning my projections, because I can't pretend to know what the other person's experience is like

Another context for can't pretend to know that I find really helpful:

... that this moment would be better—and we would be better—if things had only gone the way we would have preferred. It is a huge responsibility to know what is best for the world. Of course, in judging the moment to be not good enough, we reinforce our feelings of personal inadequacy.

I love being bad = intervention suggestion I was given by person I'm writing with

instead of fighting resisting
being with
noticing

how does it serve me
what do I want

how doesn't it serve me
what don't I want

Problems that remain persistently insoluble should always be suspected as questions asked in the wrong way.” – Alan Watts
The better the question, the better the answer.
